Pizza Pinwheels

When you are looking for a quick party snack, these are perfect!  A few weeks ago we were invited to a party and everyone was to bring something to munch on.  Living in the mountains, we try to use what we have on hand instead of making the drive to the grocery store 40 minutes round trip out of the way.  I pretty much always keep pizza ingredients on hand.  My business sells pizza crust mix - which is available here, by the way, at my Esty Shop!  And I have learned to keep a steady supply of cheese and hand canned pizza sauce.

Pizza is a great party food but pizza pinwheels are even better!  And they are simple to make.

Ingredients:

1 pizza dough unbaked
Your favorite pizza sauce
Mozzerella or Italian blend shredded cheese
pepperoni or other favorite pizza toppings

Directions:

Roll out your pizza dough into a large rectangle.  You want the dough to be pretty thin - about 1/4 inch.  Top with sauce, cheese and toppings of your choice as if you were going to bake a rectangular pizza.  Then simply (but carefully) roll into a log working on the long edge of the rectangle.   Once it is all rolled up, pinch ends and roll the seam so that it is face down.  Using a large flat knife or a bakers dough scraper, make cuts all down the log about an inch apart.  Carefully place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.  Bake at 425 degrees for about 15 min or until golden.
